"Grants & Revokes" Author: Daniel Clamage Clamage Computer ConsultingThe grants.sql and revokes.sql files contain the definitions of two procedures, grants and revokes. The grants procedure grants the specified object privileges to one or all objects in this user's schema of a given type to the given user (grantee). The revokes procedure revokes the specified object privileges from one or all objects in this user's schema of a given type to the given user (revokee). Both the grants/revokes scripts support roles and PUBLIC.

Dan "If you haven't crashed the Server, you haven't been trying hard enough" Clamage is a devoted member of the Pipelines. He first logged on in September, 1997, and has since posted over 700 messages. Dan is the author of this month's Code Archive. He has also written the PL/SQL content for 2 books by MacMillan Computer Publishing and Que Publishing. Dan and his wife Robin live in the Pittsburgh area and are proud parents of Patty and newborn Daniele Nancy Ann Clamage. Congratulations! |

Type 2 indexes provide numerous benefits to a DB2 subsystem. The primary benefit is the elimination of index locking. With DB2 Version 6, Type 1 indexes are eliminated altogether, so you will be forced to move to Type 2 indexes.
